On my turn tracker I add a token for Bovine Boy and record next to it '3, 6, 9, 12 (Dex 18)' I can do that with what we have right now (which is very cool). The last piece to complete the jigsaw is a simple phase counter.

They are also useful for displaying other instances that are not tied to a token. I play D&D 5e, so things like lair actions are displayed using a manual item.Temporary effects can also be added to the Turn Tracker using manual items.
Again with D&D 5e spells such as bless, which gives a benefit to characters for a limited time, you can show how much longer the benefits last by using a manual item. If you set it up properly, you can even decrement/increment the value of these manual items. Going back to the bless example, this means I can automatically show the players how much longer the effects last because every time the tracker reaches this manual item it will decrement the value.
Once the value hits zero the effects end.
